ESPN has released its preseason ranking of the top 25 WNBA players for the 2025 season, with reigning MVP A'ja Wilson of the Las Vegas Aces claiming the top spot and Indiana's Caitlin Clark ranking fourth ahead of her sophomore campaign.

The ranking, compiled by ESPN's basketball analysts Kendra Andrews, Kevin Pelton, Alexa Philippou, and Michael Voepel, features three New York Liberty players in the top 10 as the defending champions prepare to defend their title.

Minnesota Lynx forward Napheesa Collier, coming off an MVP performance in the Unrivaled 3-on-3 league, secured the second position after finishing as MVP runner-up last season. Breanna Stewart of the New York Liberty, who powered her team to their first championship with three consecutive double-doubles in the Finals, ranked third.

Clark's fourth-place ranking represents the highest placement for any second-year player, following a rookie season where she averaged 19.2 points, 8.4 assists, and 5.7 rebounds while earning All-WNBA first-team honors.

Notable Team Changes Impact Rankings

Several highly-ranked players have changed teams this offseason, including fifth-ranked Alyssa Thomas moving from Connecticut to Phoenix, tenth-ranked Kelsey Plum joining the Los Angeles Sparks, and seventeenth-ranked Brittney Griner signing with Atlanta after 11 seasons in Phoenix.
