Ty Jerome Could Sign For Full Midlevel Exception

Post#1 » by RealGM Wiretap » Fri Jun 13, 2025 7:11 pm

The market for Ty Jerome in free agency could reach the full midlevel exception starting at $14.1 million in Year 1. Jerome was on a $2.5 million deal for the 2024-25 season with the Cleveland Cavaliers and finished third in Sixth Man of the Year voting.

The Cavaliers are motivated to re-sign Jerome and hope to get him to return on a discount slightly below the full midlevel as they navigate the second luxury tax apron. While Dan Gilbert has given approval to Koby Altman to go deep into the luxury tax, the punitive nature of the second apron has most teams trying to avoid it where possible.

Jerome averaged 12.5 points, 2.5 rebounds and 3.4 assists in 19.9 minutes over 70 games during the regular season. Jerome also had a PER of 20.8, well above his previous best of 12.9 during the 2022-23 season with the Golden State Warriors.

Jerome, who is represented by Mark Bartelstein and Kieran Piller, turns 28 in July.
