Chris Paul Considering Return To Suns, Clippers

Post#1 » by RealGM Wiretap » Sun Jun 29, 2025 8:19 pm

Chris Paul could return to the Phoenix Suns or Los Angeles Clippers this offseason. Paul spent last season with the San Antonio Spurs where he played in all 82 games. Paul reportedly would like to return closer to the Los Angeles area this offseason.

The possibility of Paul returning to the Suns will increase if Tyus Jones departs in free agency. Paul was traded by the Suns to the Washington Wizards as part of the Bradley Beal trade in 2023.

If Paul were to sign with the Clippers, he would be reunited with James Harden whom he had a messy exit with in 2019 from the Houston Rockets.

Paul turned 40 in May.

Two locations I thought would be out of the question. His history with LAC and Harden seems like a set up for disaster. And PHX just unceremoniously jettisoned him for Beal. Honestly, I'd like to see him in SAC.

SAC or LAL would seem like better fits than LAC. I can't see LAC working for the full season.

I imagine it would be Booker leading the charge to get go back to PHX.

True, they obviously need him in PHX more than LAC or LAL... and I guess the guys that traded him are gone. We'll see!
