Post#1 » by RealGM Wiretap » Tue Sep 9, 2025 7:21 pm

Josh Giddey and the Chicago Bulls have agreed to a four-year, $100 million deal. Giddey and the Bulls had a prolonged contract negotiations as he was a restricted free agent.

The Bulls recently improved their four-year, $80 million offer to Giddey to $88 million over four seasons. It has yet to be reported how much of the contract is guaranteed.

Giddey averaged 14.6 points, 8.1 rebounds and 7.2 assists in his first season with the Bulls. Giddey was acquired by the Bulls in June 2024 from the Oklahoma City Thunder for Alex Caruso.

I'n quite honestly surprised. i thought on average, in terms of year numbers to years, Josh Giddey's preference was under 18.

So, now both sides are bitter and contrite... and they ended up right where we all thought it would three months ago. It's possible that the Bulls could have handled this better!

If Reaves or his agent even mention Giddey during their contract negotiations, they have already lost. Apples and Oranges.

The Bulls record post the All-Star break was 17-10, which was the 10th best in the league.

Giddey averaged 21ppg, 10rpg, and 9apg during that time.

So what's the problem?

I think Giddey has potential, but it can only really be identified by those who work with him on a daily basis: work ethic, whether he sticks to schedules, adapts to tactical systems, is a good teammate, is physically fit, has the ability to learn, handles pressure well, etc.
