Kevin Garnett was reportedly one of the former pro athletes who played at private poker games organized by those indicted by the Department of Justice in "Operation Royal Flush," sources tell Pablo Torre. Garnett was allegedly at a game that took place in 2019.
Chauncey Billups was arrested on Thursday for his role in the poker games. Billups and Garnett were teammates early in their career with the Minnesota Timberwolves.
Billups was known as a "face card" in the scheme where the victims were led to believe the poker games were fair and legitimate. Billups was wired $50,000 for his participation after a rigged game in October 2020, according to the indictment.
