The Dallas Mavericks trading Anthony Davis is not a foregone conclusion, sources told Marc Stein of The Stein Line.
Davis will be seeking a contract extension either with the Mavs or with a new team this offseason.
Mavs owner Patrick Dumont reportedly wants to see more from Davis to make a complete evaluation.
Dumont has also started to gather more information on potential candidates to replace Nico Harrison as general manager.
Dumont is currently comfortable with a committee approach to decision-making featuring Mark Cuban, Jason Kidd, Matt Riccardi, and Michael Finley.
