Kevin Garnett has inflammation in his left ankle and could miss two weeks to rest, Danny Ainge said.
Ainge downplayed the severity of the injury but made it clear that the Boston Celtics will be cautious with Garnett.
Ainge believes that Garnett suffered the inflamed ankle last Wednesday against the New Orleans Hornets and worsened the condition when he played two nights later in Dallas.
Garnett is averaging 14.9 points and 7.8 rebounds this season.
