David Fizdale is one of the NBA's most coveted assistant coaches that will likely be mentioned for head coaching jobs in the near future.
Fizdale is currently an assistant coach with the Miami Heat.
Fizdale is credited with assisting LeBron James in his post game and has been a stabilizing influence on the superstar core of the Heat in general.
Like Erik Spoelstra, Fizdale began as a video coordinator of the Heat and never played in the NBA.
“[Fizdale] grew up hard and fought to get to where he is,” said a source. “It’s given him an ability to connect because he understands where a lot of these guys came from.”
