I don't know what they allow, but traditionally numbers with digits higher than 5 are less used. Anything over 55 is pretty rare. It's hard on the refs and scorekeepers which can slow the game down. 0 is the easiest number... they don't need to lift a finger. Maybe Love's trying to be nice!

From his own mouth, 42 was retired. His Olympic number 11 was retired. His mother's lucky number 7 was retired. He picked zero because the first tournament he went to as a kid, he was the last guy to show up and zero was all that was left. He said the "o" also reminded him off Oregon, home. Some reporter then said and Ohio and love said oh yeah and Ohio. Other than that he won the press conference. It's hard to lose the press conference though.
