While I'm a big fan of D'Angelo, Nets are better off letting him sign a qualifying offer as opposed to offering an extension unless it is an extremely team friendly extension (i.e. Steph Curry's first extension). Injury history and maturity questions keep him back. However, if he can prove it this year and next, then he will get paid.

Either that, or if max FAs would sign, can renounce him (like Randle), or maybe sign an "extremely team friendly" team during RFA.

As wacky as it sounds, I'd love to see him in Phoenix with his buddy Booker. There would be 0 defense attempted, but that would be a fun team from an offensive standpoint.

When the "Butler being fed up with nonchalant KAT" came out, I proposed a Butler for DLo, Wiggins for Booker. Those three are buddies. D/O would still apply.
