Sign and trade.. I dont think Harden is leaving just waiting for bigger pay day but clearly if he decides he is leaving then a sign and trade is better for nets than him walking out.. Simmons with Durant would be massive since Durant doesn't need to be in the paint and Simmons is an elite defender and is a very good play maker he would compliment Durant..

(if I'm a Celtics fan I hope they hold and it all blows up on them, but whatever)

Gotta admit Durant and Simmons could be quite a pairing, can't think of a duo like that ever (well.. I guess shades of Steph/Draymond sort of)

Durant and a weak minded fool who can't/won't shoot? Yeah... amazing

Simmons with Durant works man Simmons is a very good play maker and an elite defender and good rebounder etc he compliments Durant who is the shooter clearly and doesn't need the paint clear.. Simmons and Durant are actually ideal.. If they got Simmons it would be over.. The dude would not have to shoot..

Problem is, simmons man will come over and double Durant. Once that happens, that leaves Simmons open for the Jumper. Which he refuses to take.

They could trade him not for a star but for some depth and significantly increase their chances to win, but instead they will probably let him walk, lose in conference semifinals, Harden will walk and it will be a big failed experiment by them.

If they fail to win, they basically shipped their future away like the Garnett/Peirce trade that set them back so many years.

Yep, that is a problem on any team he's traded to. And even fat Hardin is twice the player Simmons is. The Kyrie for Simmons trade makes sense for everyone because both teams would essentially be getting something for nothing.

If they traded for him mid season than they could resign him with his bird rights.

You have to be able to shoot in order to keep the defense honest. Defenses will just sag off Simmons and double Durant, making Durant's life harder. It would be FAR from over.

Would Philly do Harris, Simmons, and Curry for Harden & Irving?
