The risk you guys are missing is that Masai put all his chips on the table and went for it. If this didnt work out, he's out that door. Maybe you LA folks should think outside of the box sometimes.

Yeah, giving up the franchise’s loyal all-star who’s been with the team since the dawn of his career (and perceived best player) was easy to give up. Especially when the said franchise has a history of losing star players in free-agency. Just ask LAKESHOW.

What a joke.

I hate to break it to you but the World doesn’t revolve round the Lakers.

Sorry, why were the Spurs happy at the time, and how in the world are they currently happy with it? It was a laugh-out-loud bad return when the trade was announced, and now that Kawhi came back totally healthy and even more dominant on offense it looks nothing but worse. I get how the Spurs might have to live with the whole thing (Kawhi forced his way out, limited options) but dealing with something terrible because you have to isn't the same as being 'happy' with it.

I'll throw this in, Michelle Beadle, long time Spurs reporter and well known San Antonio fan. She was ecstatic about it.

If you think NBA executives/coaches always tell the truth to the media you are fooling yourself. Lying is 2nd nature to them. They aren't going to throw their current players under the bus and say "We aren't happy with the return.". That would be absurd. Of course they would lie if they regretted the trade.
