Jeff Van Gundy thinks the Brooklyn Nets should be considered overachievers.

“I think they’ve overachieved, absolutely,” Van Gundy said.

The Nets are 40-18, just a game behind the New York Knicks for third place in the Eastern Conference.

Van Gundy believes the Nets have a chance to make a deep playoff run this season.

“Well, listen, they could go to the Eastern Conference Finals,” he said. “No question. Because I think anybody could, minus the team that gets Miami.

“If they can get up to third, they could make the Eastern Conference Finals, because someone is [going to]. But they also could lose in the first round.”

Absolutely they have... Deron was struggling for a while, Humphries has been benched, Reggie Evans is starting... and they are 3rd in the East? Wow.

Credit to Brook Lopez for that, I think he's been the main reason Brooklyn is where they are.

Solid team

Next 5 years: heat beat NY/BK

NY and BK would have to combine rosters to have a shot at beating the Heat

Thanks a lot for saying nothing. Basically the last paragraph states they could make it, or they could not. Whatever. Nothing newsworthy here.
