After declaring to leave the Rio Grande Valley Vipers of the NBA D-League, Royce White posted on his Twitter account that he will rejoin the Houston Rockets next season.

"AGAIN, no one is quitting ANYTHING, just getting prepared 4 next season with the ... I'm very excited, can't wait to rejoin," White wrote on his verified account.

White had said he was returning to Houston but not to join the Rockets.

The Rockets selected White with the 16th pick in last year's draft, but both sides have dealt with constant back and forth differences centering on how to compromise about the forward's mental state.

Hopefully being a Dad again x2 during the off-season will motivate White to step up and act more like an adult. There is always a chance that the light bulb in White's head may get switched to on.

Time to cut him. The most useless pick the Rockets have ever made. And Houston have made a few of them!!!

All part of his master plan to support the rights of those with mental illnesses by seeming vague, misleading, and detrimental in all his actions and words.

generalized anxiety disorder and obsessive compulsive disorder (which white also suffers from) is not a joke, it is a not uncommon and very serious condition that can effect every part of one's life, and if left misdiagnosed or improperly treated, culminating eventually in suicide attempts. by telling him to "be an adult" or "man up", you are now guilty of having participated in the biggest problem in this society at large, which is blaming the individual living with brain disorders. rather than stigmatizing these individuals and making them feel ashamed or guilty for having a mental illness, we should be as supportive as we can rather than giving this guy more grief and blaming him. i like basketball. it's also just a game. this guy is a human being, not a uniform and it's unfortunate that so many people seem to care more about their favorite sports team than the well-being of their fellow man.

doc drew discussing royce white's life long struggle with GAD and OCD:

personally I couldn't care less about a basketball game relative to this young man's well being. if someone comes up to him and mocks his condition or tries to play on his fear of discrimination, white needs to tell that person to go to hell.

I think he's gone beyond wanting to help publicize and make people aware of his disease... I think he generally enjoys the special treatment. I defended him at first, but he doesnt even know what he needs.. He couldnt possibly be worth this headache, could he?

At this point it is not about the disease. There are players drafted before him fulfilling their obligations while playing in the D-League. Dude thinks he is above that then that is on Royce. He is an idiot and I hope that the league or Rockets can legally void his contract or fine the hell out of him since he obviously doesn't deserve to get paid. I earn my pay and this kid thinks he is entitled to money. He needs a rude awaking as he is entitled to nothing.
