Amar'e Stoudemire revealed that his rehab from knee surgery is “going well” but he did not indicate if he will return for the playoffs next month.

“It’s two weeks in now, so I’ve been able to really recover (and) feel the improvement daily, and I just hope that continues to be the case,” Stoudemire said.

Stoudemire was originally given a six-to-eight week timetable, which would make it unlikely that he could play in the first round.

Mike Woodson admitted that he can’t foresee Stoudemire playing significant minutes, especially after having been out of the lineup for more than a month.

“I can’t get him on the court and say ‘Stat, I’m going to play you 25, 30 minutes,’ ” Woodson added. “I can’t do that. It’s getting him back comfortable. If it’s 10 minutes, 12 minutes, we’ve got to get him comfortable to play those minutes at a high level and feel good about it. Those minutes have to generate something positive to help us win. That’s how I look at it.”
