Rasheed Wallace has again retired from the NBA after battling injury issues throughout this season, the New York Knicks announced on Wednesday.
“Rasheed has given this team everything he had,” Mike Woodson said in a statement. “He is a winner, true professional and leader on and off the court. Due to his injury, he will not be available to play for us during the playoffs."
When healthy, Wallace fortified the Knicks' defense and floor spacing.
Wallace, 38, had not played for the past two seasons before coming out of retirement for the Knicks.
