Chris Andersen Suspended By NBA For Game 6 Of ECF

Post#1 » by RealGM Wiretap » Fri May 31, 2013 11:43 pm

Chris Andersen has been suspended one game for his physical altercation with Tyler Hansbrough in Game 5 of the Eastern Conference finals between the Miami Heat and Indiana Pacers, the NBA announced on Friday.

Andersen will miss Game 6 on Sunday.

The incident -- in which Andersen shoved Hansbrough and escalated the altercation -- also was upgraded to a flagrant foul two.

Hansbrough was given a technical foul on the play but had it rescinded on Friday.

Andersen has established himself as a vital part of the Heat's bench.

League is rigging this series so it goes to game 7. The tv ratings are actually pretty good so far on tnt for the heat pacers series. However, the league is also rigging this series so the heat advance. How in the world does dwade get away from a one game suspension for his flying elbow on lance stephenson (non-basketball play) but jr smith gets suspended for elbowing jason terry on a basketball play to draw contract for a possible foul call. Double standards. The league won't make much profit in a pacers-spurs final which would probably generate the lowest ratings in league history. The lowest tv ratings in nba finals history was the cavs-spurs 2007 final, a series that was a sweep but included lbj.

Because an elbow in the back of the head when he could have possibly been just trying to clear and get ahead and an elbow in the face for absolutely no reason are different ?

JR Smith obviously did the same thing Metta did to Hardin, which was blatant enough for a flagrant 2 and immediate ejection. Players get elbowed all the time during play. Wade should have been called for a flagrant one, but he didn't just jump up and drive his elbow into someone's head. Moving your arm forward and ramming your elbow backward into someone's face is different.

You can't "elbow" someone with your forearm.
