Kobe Wants Lakers To Have 'Closing Argument' With Dwight

Post#1 » by RealGM Wiretap » Tue Jun 4, 2013 1:30 am

Kobe Bryant is planning on giving Dwight Howard plenty of space to explore his options before deciding whether he wants to re-sign with the Los Angeles Lakers.

Howard will make in-person recruiting visits to the Houston Rockets and Dallas Mavericks, amongst possible other suitors.

"For me, you kind of let him do his due diligence and then move in and talk to him and figure out if this is a place he wants to be," Bryant said. "We all want him here. But then that's when the selling begins (after Howard is courted by other teams). You don't start the selling process right before he goes and does all this stuff. You want to get the last word. You want to have the final word and the closing argument.

"I'll give him a little opening statement, but then I have to make sure I have the final word."

Ooh, can we predict the closing argument?
Kobe: If you leave, you will be walking away from 30 million dollars, and everybody will think you are a b!tch.
Dwight: Uh... hehehehe! (hard to do the Dwight laugh in text)

Anybody else have a prediction?
I move around so much, I've just decided to start rooting for everybody.
Except the Heat.

You'll "give him" a little opening statement AND "make sure" you have the closing statement? Lol. That would suggest that you actually have a degree of CONTROL over the situation. Quite arrogant, if you ask me. Somehow I'm not sure if Kobe really has that much respect for Howard to make a statement like that.

I'm gonna "allow" you to go out and do what you wanna to for a little while, then I WILL have the last word, and then you're GOING to come back with us.

why do I think LeBron going to the finals has everything to do with kobes comments. I think he knows bron is going to surpass him in legacy and in championships. hes talking out of anger. he knows his only chance of getting back to the finals is if howard can be on the team and not playing like he did last year and hoping the real howard is back next season. and kobe is not done. ppl talk so ignorant sometimes. but he is arrogant as hell

Bye Bye Kobe

One of the ways to start by trying to keep Dwight is to get rid of D'Antoni. His style is not good for big men, and Dwight is not a fan of him.

The roster is a mess and D'Antoni is the coach. Dwight is as good as gone.

i dont think dwight howard is gonna stay with lakers.

[quote]"When I came back from my shoulder injury, some didn't think I was giving my all," he said. "And nobody wanted to hear what I said about coming off back surgery. It wasn't fair to me. I was on a walker and four months later playing basketball. I played hurt."

Once Howard felt better, the Lakers' record noticeably improved, and yet some still do not acknowledge his value.

we all kno who dwight was talkin about. itz kobe.
