Sources: Cavaliers Couple Weeks Away From Draft Decision

Post#1 » by RealGM Wiretap » Tue Jun 11, 2013 4:56 am

The Cleveland Cavaliers are still a couple weeks away from deciding their plan with the No. 1 pick in the NBA draft, according to sources.

The Cavaliers still have not received answers on Nerlens Noel's medical situation.

If the Cavaliers get uncomfortable with Noel's medical status, Otto Porter could be their selection.

There has not been high interest in trading for the No. 1 pick.

If they can, they should look to unload the draft pick to a team like Charlotte, they can get a great prospect like Biyombo with the 4th pick.

They already passed on Jonas Valanciunas for Tristan Thompson?! And Passed on Andre Drummond for Dion Waiters??!! If they don't draft Alex Len they are absolutely dumb and hopeless... I'm not even a Cavs supporter, but I feel sorry for Cleveland.
You need 2-way wings, 2-way shooting bigs, and you can't allow low iq players on the court. Assist/turnover ratio is crucial. Shooting point guards are icing on the cake IF they are plus defenders.
Weaver & Casey, govern yourselves accordingly!

I'm pretty sure every team is a couple weeks away from a draft decision.

Agreed on the Cavs horrible drafting. Amazing how many great picks they've had and completely whiffed on.

I won't really argue you over the past picks (except to say it takes a lot more time than has passed to really assess the success of a draft pick), but to follow that up by saying they should draft Len made me chuckle some.
