Pat Riley isn’t planning to retire anytime soon.

Not long after the Miami Heat won their second straight NBA championship, Riley was asked about his plans for next season.

"I'm at an age now where I'm ready to fly off somewhere but I'm not going to,” Riley said. “The good Lord has blessed me with a team that has allowed me to grab onto His coattails. As long as they want to be together, I want to be here. It's been an incredible experience. I thank Micky [Arison] from the bottom of my heart to allow me to do the things I could do to help make this thing great."

Riley is looking forward to what lies ahead.

"There was only one dynasty and that dynasty was the Celtics of the '60s," Riley said. "Now if you want to move forward because the rules have changed, if you can win five or six like Michael [Jordan] did or San Antonio did, then yes. You can talk about this team as being a great team.

"We got a young team -- a lot of people think it's old -- and a veteran team and we have so much ahead of us. We're going to go for it and we're going to go for it every year."
