Pretty much the reason they made that trade.
Could've been a little fun to see the Kentucky big men play in NOLA.

Dumping your best young player is a curious way to rebuild.

I think he's worth a top pick in 2013 and 2014. Pelicans aren't contenders, and will likely have a pick sitting just outside the top five next year. They are getting a new coach and aren't exactly a stacked team right now. They need to dig back a bit in their rebuild. This lets them trade one good prospect for two.

We're in better shape than last year the Pels did the rebuliding phrase got an All-Star from a team thats not going anywhere in a few years. The Pels will be in the playoffs the western conference is weak the Pels be up for the 5th-8th seed.If you want someone to blame.Blame the Sixers front office because they screwed you from trading for injury prone Bynum, losing Lou Williams,hiring/firing an burnt out coach (Collins) and drafting an sf (Turner) thats being misused i rest my case cheers.

wtf are you smoking? The WEST has been the strongest conference for at least a decade. And you actually believe the Pelicans will get the 5th seed lol. With what squad. 4 Pgs, an inconsistent SG, a SF no one wants and 2 bigs who cant score. Yup, definitely going to beat out the Rockets, Warriors, and Mavs next season for those last 3 spots...
