The Chicago Bulls have eight players under contract and are likely to fill out the rest of their roster with minimum salary players.

Nazr Mohammed played for the Bulls last season on a minimum contract and expects to return for the 2013-14 campaign.

"They want me back," Mohammed said. "I want to be back. Now it's the technicality of getting (the contract) done."

The Bulls are already over the projected luxury tax line for next season.

Its really tough to be a Bulls fan!
They are so close to become top 3 team, but the management is so cheap!

Well they already are a top 3 team if Rose comes back the same.

Also, really, hard to be a Bulls fan ?

Ask Charlotte fans about hard.
We had MJ dominate for nearly a decade, they're been decimated by MJ for nearly a decade.

I hear what you are saying, but its hard to argue with their position since they now have four guys making more than $10 million a year (Rose, Deng, Noah and Boozer) and a decent free agent who would be coming off the bench would probably cost another $10-$15 million with the luxury tax penalties.

What a cheap franchise. Their management is the only thing in the way of a championship imo.

It is so true. They are the cheapest of the major cities...Miami and LA are gonna pay huge luxury taxes because their owners want rings. Chicago is a bigger market than Miami by far, the team makes money Reinsdorf just doesnt want to win as bad as the other owners.

They are arguably a top 3 team, but the title hopes arent realistic IMO ( because of Heat)
and right now they have a chance to close the gap with Miami but the management....

Thats why its tough to be a Bulls fan. They are one of the few teams who have a realistic shot at the title, but management doesnt make any moves. With Charlotte you know you will never win a title.

So both are hard situation, but with the goal of the chip, its frustating being a Bulls fan.

But there are approximately only 10 teams in a decade with a shot to win it all. So if your team is in such a good position, you go all in. And everyone knows it, besides Bulls management! Or they just dont care.

The Bulls are in the luxury tax and even added the full mid-level last year (which meant they had a HARD cap and couldn't even sign depth until their prorated salaries fit under that cap. But even spending the max they could last year to have to deal with that cap isnt' enough for some people.

The Bulls aren't cheap. They are prohibited from spending.
