That is what Steve Nash said about a week before signing with the Lakers.

Steve Nash was neither an NBA champion, nor did he have a tumultuous relationship with the Lakers coach.

Lakers won't get LeBron. Period. And they won't get Melo so long as D'Antoni is there.

Melo and Bron are not free agents.

Where's Stern

There's no tampering to talk about who's going to be in the FA class in 2014 and who they'll go after.

Not to mention, reporters can say what they want, they have no connection to the team.

LeBron is not a free agent in 2014. His contract runs through 2016, but 2014 he has a player option. He could be a free agent, but as it stands, he has a contract. These people can't talk about LeBron like if he's guaranteed to be a FA.

It's called the Miami Heat's 2010 off-season, in which they grabbed the 3 most sought after free agents, 3 all-stars, best player in the game, top 3 player in the game, and a top 20 player in the game, to team up in their primes and take reduced contracts to win.

Too bad they had to suffer at the hands of Dirk Diggler before beating the rest of the league. :D
