Post#1 » by RealGM Wiretap » Sun Jul 21, 2013 1:37 am

The Los Angeles Clippers have reached agreement on a two-year, $2 million contact with Byron Mullens.

Mullens will hold a player option for the second year of the deal, according to a source.

Mullens, 24, averaged 11.4 points and 7.1 rebounds in 41 starts for the Charlotte Bobcats last season.

He will fit in great, they need a trigger happy PF/C that shoots 30%

You guys act like Mullens is going to be the Clippers' go-to guy, he won't be. They needed a big that is enough of a shooting threat to keep the defense honest, so Blake, CP3, Crawford, etc. will have enough room to operate. Clippers' haven't had that, and Mullens will provide that. Plus, he's not a bad rebounder and free throw shooter.

his defence is questionable and his shooting is poor. However you have to remember that he played for the bobcats and at the clippers he will be taking fewer and better shot selections. Doc Rivers loves defence and he will improve, he is already good rebounder. If DJ can't improve his FT% I have no problem with Mullens finishing games at the C.
