Knicks To Host Heat On Night Before Super Bowl

The New York Knicks are scheduled to host the Miami Heat at Madison Square on Saturday, February 1, which is one day before New Jersey hosts the NFL Super Bowl.

This is the first time a cold weather city has hosted a Super Bowl.

Was that freezing snowy Super Bowl in Detroit when the NFL promised to never again hold the Super Bowl in a cold weather city not considered "a cold weather city hosting a Super Bowl"?

Only reason why the NFLis doing it in NY is because of all the marketing oppurtunities they have. Not much marketing you can do in Detroit or another cold weather city like Green Bay.

NY you can market in Mid-Town where the NFL League office is and by Metlife Stadium.
