Carrick Felix Signs Four-Year Contract With Cavaliers

Post#1 » by RealGM Wiretap » Tue Aug 6, 2013 5:31 pm

The Cleveland Cavaliers have signed Carrick Felix to a four-year contract.

Felix was a second round pick out of Arizona State.

Felix will earn $510,000 in 13-14, which is about $20,000 more than the league minimum.

Wouldn't surprise me if only the first year is guaranteed. Never heard of this guy. Cavs must think highly of him enough that they think they could have a steal in a few years should he develop.

The first three are guaranteed.

Even with the curveball draft picks Chris Grant has made the past few years, this is what I think is the first truly puzzling move. Not necessarily a bad move, that remains to be seen, but they're certainly putting a lot of faith in a guy who may not have even been drafted had the Cavs not picked him up.
