Undrafted free agent James Southerland has reached agreement to sign a training camp deal with the Charlotte Bobcats, a league source told RealGM.
Southerland, 23, went unselected in June’s NBA draft, and he averaged 11.6 minutes and four points for the Golden State Warriors in the Las Vegas summer league. He’s among the best shooters in the crop of incoming rookies. Southerland had also considered overseas options before agreeing to a camp deal.
Southerland spent four years at Syracuse and averaged 13.3 points in his senior season.
