After losing two frontcourt players to injury last week, the Washington Wizards have reached a deal to bring D’or Fischer into training camp, a league source told RealGM.

Fischer, the big man out of West Virginia, was on the New Orleans Pelicans’ roster in the July summer league. A shot-blocker at 6-foot-10, Fischer could have a realistic chance to make the Wizards’ regular season roster, which has lost Emeka Okafor (neck) indefinitely and Chris Singleton (foot) for up to 10 weeks.

Fischer, 31, went unselected in the 2005 NBA draft with averages of 9.25 points, 5.1 rebounds and 2.9 blocks at West Virginia. He participated in training camp and preseason with the Charlotte Bobcats for the 2005-06 season.

Better off if Derek Fisher was invited to Wizard's Camp.
