Kendrick Perkins suffered what appeared to be a dislocated finger while chasing an offensive rebound during the Oklahoma City Thunder's preseason game on Saturday.

Perkins has dealt with knee injuries over his career.

I wish this would somehow keep Perkins out of the lineup for like 4-6 weeks so the coach can see how good they are without him.

Sucks he has no need for fingers the way he plays..

Hate to see him get hurt, but this almost cancels out the Westbrook injury

I would start Steve Adams over Nick Collison if Perkins is out several weeks. Adams may be young but he has height and is a athletic big he might lack NBA seasoning but he would adjust.

It's not like that finger is going to help anyways. He already got bad hands regardless HAHA!!!

I think Ibaka is perfect for them at the 4. He has range and plays good defense. What more can you ask for?

Agreed, since it means Collison can still stay as the first big off the bench.

Huge bust for OKC. He is nothing he was with boston and don't think he'll ever go back to that form...

How is he a bust for OKC?
He does exactly what they want him to do, defensively deal with low post centers. They brought him in because they figured they would A. need to get past Bynum and the Lakers and then B. Possibly beat Howard and Orlando in the finals. There is not another center who can deal with those two as well as Perkins and again, no one expected this guy to be an offensive force, or really anything beyond a situation defender.

dude is a stone cold bum. he was massively overhyped. solid low post defender but brings nothing else to the table. celtics fans use to cry that they woulda won more championships w/ this guy. if you cant replace kendrick perkins, you dont deserve to win a championship. jeff green is a MUCH better player. okc was stupid for trading him. as usual, they didnt want to pay one of their players. good luck winning a ring while trading your best players every few years.

I posted about how this article needs to be adjusted to say scrimmage instead of preseason game.... Then I realized preseason has started! That means only a few weeks until basketball and only like 8 months until Silver starts fixing games like his mentor! Can't wait! Go Miami, or Lakers, or Nets, or whatever the band wagon team will be this year!

As much as I like OKC, I hate this guy. hope hes gone for a long time so others get a chance to develop. Coach loves him too much to give others time if hes there.

Most offense he's shown in years.
