The San Antonio Spurs are moving to sign Josh Howard to a non-guaranteed deal, according to sources.
The contract is expected to be finalized by Friday afternoon.
Howard is 33 and coming off his second major knee surgery in less than three years.
There is a strong chance that Howard does not open the season on the Spurs' 15-player roster.

weird signing, you would think the Spurs would want to go youngera nd sign a project or sign a one dimensional player who is good at one thing ie. spot up 3 point shooter or a defensive stopper.
not sure what howard has left to offer.

He played well for the Wolves when they brought him in last year. It's too bad he got injured.

They signed an injury prone player (Maggette) and then sign another one in Howard. Hmmm...
