This will probably be the hungriest we've seen the spurs in years. Could have been completely avoided if some coaching decisions weren't made, but hey it happens. I really hope they make it to the finals again. They are one of the only teams that should be in the finals from the western conference. Either them, Houston, or GS depending on how well houston and GS will be.
Spurs are built to take down the Heat. I've been saying this for he past 2-3 years, especially when they lost to thunder in the semifinals. They were actually more prepared to beat heat that year than they were last year since they were deadlier offensively. Last year they were better defensively, but their offense wasn't as consistent to the year prior. Hopefully they can combine the pros of the last 2 years and get another shot at miami again. I would see it hard for them to lose this time if they actually managed to do this.

Unless Danny green is going to shoot a million % from the three pt line like he did in the finals, I don't think the Heat are thst worried about the Spurs. I think at this point they know what to do and expect.

The Spurs were 28 seconds away from beating you guys and than Ray Allen hit a huge 3, momentum shifted to the Heat, Ginobili also said he wasn't healthy during the Finals. I'd say if the Spurs are healthy and the Heat beat the Bulls, Indy, Nets, etc the Spurs are the worst possible matchup for your team if you and they make the 2014 NBA finals. You also have to take into account the fact that Spurs team will have a chip on their shoulder should you rematch, remember the 2011 Mavs, yep you guys got beat. I wouldn't say the Heat shouldn't worry about the Spurs, they should it's the worst possible NBA finals matchup for a team trying to 3peat, they would love to return the favor of heartbreak.

Tired of this fixation on on Allen's shot as proof the Spurs were the better team. Heat were up 3 with 2 minutes remaining and blew 3 straight offensive possession that allowed the Spurs to climb back into it. Yeah, the Spurs blew free throws, Pops had Duncan on the bench for two enormous Heat rebounds but Miami delivered. Allen sinking a clutch 3 in the closing seconds is hardly miraculous. He's done it his whole career. That's why the Heat signed him.
There were 5 more quarters played and the Heat won every one of them. The Spurs have had a chip on their shoulder since 2007. Wade wasn't healthy in the Finals, Haslem was playing with a torn meniscus. I'd say if the Heat are equally healthy the series goes 5 or 6 games with Miami winning. When Wade was putting up normal Wade numbers they won. But it's so Chicago to put woulda shoulda coulda on health. You have a guy who broke the Final's record for 3's and try to rationalize it away as an expected variable.
Miami started the corpse of Mike Bibby and Big Z in 2011. They gave huge relative minutes to James Jones and Joel Anthony, Eddie House and others. Trying to use that roster as an example is a reach. That was a good Mavs squad. They swept the going for a 3 peat Lakers. They were the underdog in every series they played. Props to them. They earned their Title by not giving up when they could have. But the current Miami roster is nothing like the first year roster during the Big 3 initial year.
You want to bet on SA fine. I respect the Spurs. And I believe the Heat are beatable. But your logic is faulty.

I don't have to take anything into account. I'm sure the Spurs will have a chip on their shoulder and they're a great team but as I said. Unless Green is going to shoot like he's the second coming of Larry bird then I'm not worried one bit. The Heat survived the best shooting display in finals history, they earned the win and they're better for it. I'm not worried about the Spurs. I believe the Heat understand better now, how to beat them. That hot streak shooting they got from Green is a long shot. Not happening again

The reason people put the shoulda coulda on that series because that was by far the worst playoff season anyone has ever seen manu play. It is fact that if he was benched for the last 5 - 3 minutes of the game that they would have won. Manu's +/- was significantly negative that entire quarter meaning he was the opposite of useful. A non impact player in his place would have at least done the spurs enough good to win.
Your point about wade is valid, but wade himself hasn't shown the world enough confidence that he'll be fully healed even for this season.
You are right about Allen, his shot shouldn't have been a surprise to anyone. It was the unbelievably sloppy execution on the spurs (manu) part that cost them the game. None of those 3 pointers wouldn't have happened had it it not been for that. But the point is, that 8-9 times out of 10, that scenario they had with 30 seconds left is always a win. Spurs didn't follow the regular array of procedures that are followed in those situations, which allowed Miami to take advantage and comeback. I know most NBA coaches who were watching were shocked that Pop allowed such a thing to occur under his watch, especially considering the circumstances.

Yeah and if LeBron hadn't coughed up the ball twice they might have built on their lead with 2 minutes left and not needed those 3s. Benching Manu isn't changing the outcome as a fact, it's conjecture. Manu played like hot garabage over the series but just came off a great game where he started and put up 24 points and 10 assists. We could do this all day. The Spurs have run out of gas and been injured the last few postseasons so they are no more credible than Wade in that respect. The Spurs losing after being up with 28 seconds left doesn't define the entire series.
