Phoenix Suns training camp invite James Nunnally has reached a deal to return to the Bakersfield Jam of the NBA D-League, a league source told RealGM on Friday.
Following three games with the Suns in the preseason, Nunnally had been evaluating options overseas and in the D-League before deciding to return to the D-League. He averaged 10.3 points and nearly three rebounds in 19.7 minutes a game with Bakersfield a season ago.
Nunnally played for the Miami Heat in the Las Vegas summer league, averaging 13 points on 57 percent shooting.
An outside shooting threat at 6-foot-7, Nunnally, 23, went undrafted in the 2012 NBA draft after four seasons at the University of California, Santa Barbara.
