Griffin: Everything Feels Different With Doc Rivers

Post#1 » by RealGM Wiretap » Thu Nov 14, 2013 12:18 am

Blake Griffin feels as though the impact Doc Rivers had made upon the Los Angeles Clippers is in making sure the intangibles stick.

“It’s kind of a weird thing because [Rivers] is saying things I, most of the time, already know,” Griffin said. “But he puts it in a way where I completely, 100 percent understand -- and it sticks with you.”

Even though the Clippers preserved their core in the offseason and merely added Rivers, Jared Dudley and J.J. Redick, there is a different vibe surrounding the team.

“Almost everything feels completely different,” Griffin said. “Obviously it’s the same facility, the same Staples Center, the same jerseys. But the atmosphere in practice, walking into the arena, it’s way different.”

Rivers replaced Vinny Del Negro as head coach.

Sounds like he is trying to say Doc is a much better coach than Del Negro without trying to completely throw him under the bus.

LOL, I love the last sentence of this WT. It's almost hilariously misplaced and just looks so out of context since there's nothing about Vinny in the entire WT.

He was the dead weight dragging the team down. Chris Paul led the team to the playoffs. VDN did literally nothing.

Only the playoffs separate the true great ones and frauds.
