Barbosa Signing In Brazil With NBA Out

Post#1 » by RealGM Wiretap » Wed Nov 20, 2013 7:14 pm

Leandro Barbosa will sign with Club Pinheiros in Brazil, according to sources.

The deal has an out that will allow Barbosa to return to the NBA if a deal is reached.

Barbosa tore his ACL last February and playing in Brazil will help the recovery process.

if he gets healthy teams will call.

look at Rasual Butler, how he still is in the league is beyond me. His whole career he was trash but could somewhat shoot. Now he can't make a 3 if his life depended on it.

He was really solid for boston the last few weeks before the injury

As soon as Rondo went down and Barbosa started getting mins he was scoring in double figures frequently and they were winning -- seven game win streak before he tore up his knee.

He was even rehabbing in Boston during the offseason, to the point that Ainge mentioned his progress in a press conference, even though he wasn't under contract (I think was still technically a Wizard)

If he's healthy and his speed is intact, he'll get a look and probably at least a 10-day

Shame to see him go. He had the most whack ass game I've ever seen and it worked for him somehow. Good luck Barb.
