Post#1 » by RealGM Wiretap » Wed Nov 27, 2013 9:49 pm

Kendall Marshall will join the D-League, turning down offers fro China and Europe.

Marshall has entered his name into the D-League's pool of players with a waiver process next week set to determine the team to acquire him.

Marshall was traded by the Phoenix Suns before the start of the season to the Washington Wizards and was subsequently waived.

Marshall was the 13th overall pick in the 2012 NBA Draft.

I always thought this guy could at least develop into a solid backup pg. I mean if Nate freaking Wolters can play heavy minutes as a starter why can't this guy even finde a niche on a rebuilding team?

Wolters is a decent PG but I see your point.

Seriously though, you can say it did for Jerry Stackhouse and Vince Carter - both guys had enormous hype due to Jordan playing SG at UNC prior to them, and obviously neither could live up to that.

It's fair to say both of those, especially Carter, had fairly prolific careers. Carter going strong at 50!

i don't know why you're going back in history,,,like it matters today. take a look at unc players over the past few years. with the exception of green, every unc player was a top5* elite coming out of high school...as in they were either #1 or #2 at their position. not only did they fail to be that impactful player, like say a jabari parker IS, at unc, they ended up not even being good enought to be a 1and done. and they haven't lived up to their hype in the nba,,,except lawson.

Every major school has it's share of hits and misses but at least it's clear where you bias is coming from now.

I think it's crazy that he hasn't been signed. He just didn't get minutes. I was really hoping my celtics grabbed him since they don't have a PG.

Lottery pick in 2012. Teamless in 2013. Think about how bad of a pick that was. Lance blanks was a terrible GM.
