Source: Woodson, Smith Exchanged Heated Words Over Shot Selection, Attitude

Post#1 » by RealGM Wiretap » Sun Dec 15, 2013 4:20 am

Mike Woodson and J.R. Smith exchanged heated words after the New York Knicks' win over the Chicago Bulls on Wednesday and the head coach chided the guard's shot selection, according to a source.

Woodson also became upset about something Smith said on the bench Wednesday. Smith made a lewd comment, according to the source. Woodson waited until afterward to express his disappointment with Smith’s attitude and reminded him that he’s been his strongest advocate for the past two seasons.

“Mike said that after all I’ve done for you I can’t have you talking back to me like that,” the source said.

During Thursday’s practice, Woodson used the game film from the win over the Bulls to demonstrate moments when Smith forced shots when he could have passed.

Smith’s response to Woodson’s coaching lesson was to attempt one shot in 27 minutes against the Boston Celtics on Friday.

Knuckle Head would mean he knows what he's doing. J.R Smith, as talented as he is, is a dumbass period. Don't believe me follow him on twitter @dumbasschucker.

Woodson's anger is fully understandable. I haven't seen that game, but I'm sure you can get mad at some of the shots JR takes. Woodson is on a hot seat now, so he's not gonna be too patient right now. I like it though, Smith deserves to be scolded for his 'efforts'.

He's been like this since his Denver days... One game he is as lethal as any scorer in the league, Next game he's colder than a night in Siberia. I wouldn't bother arguing with him, just bench him and let him rant on twitter.

He will probably be pushed out with another player via management. He had a nice season last year, but he is back to his old ways. Too inconsistent and low basketball IQ to be of any major significance.

JR reminds me of Ricky Davis. Extremely self-entitled talented players with low BBIQ and questionable character.
