76ers Elect To Part With Dewayne Dedmon

Post#1 » by RealGM Wiretap » Mon Feb 3, 2014 8:19 pm

The Philadelphia 76ers elected not to re-sign Dewayne Dedmon after the center's second 10-day deal expired on Sunday.

“We liked him,” coach Brett Brown said. “The time that he came in, how could you not like what he did at 7-foot? The whole year is about evaluating people. You are going to see people in and out. No reflection on Dewayne. It’s just the stage where we are at as a program.”

Dedmon averaged 3.4 points and 4.5 rebounds and 13.6 minutes in 11 appearances with the Sixers, including nine blocked shots.

This dude is strong and plays like a man, even when he was in college. I'd love to give this dude a chance on my team

He was serviceable and actually did some things with the Warriors during the preseason. I can't believe Kuzmic made it to the roster over Dedmon even though Kuzmic was originally drafted late, late in the 2nd round by the Warriors in the 2012 NBA Draft. His contract is not even that expensive to cut him. I think the Spurs might be the next team that will give Dedmon a look.

He played very well. Hope he gets to show his skills for a contender.
Long Live Sam Hinkie :D
