Anthony Davis Replaces Kobe Bryant On Western Conference All-Star Team

Post#1 » by RealGM Wiretap » Fri Feb 7, 2014 8:05 pm

Anthony Davis has replaced Kobe Bryant on the Western Conference All-Star team, the NBA announced on Friday afternoon.

Bryant is sidelined due to a fractured knee.

Adam Silver made the decision to replace Bryant with Davis, and Scott Brooks will decide who will replace Bryant in the starting lineup of the Western Conference.

Davis is averaging 20.5 points, 10.5 rebounds and 3.3 blocks per game this season for the New Orleans Pelicans.

Far more deserving than Kobe this year :)

Goran got robbed. New Orleans has way more talent and a worse record. Davis is not deserving.

I saw this coming when they gave Goran the terrible consolation prizes of POTW and getting to participate in the Skill Challenge that no one cares about. Looks like Silver will continue Stern's hatred of the Suns' franchise.

Can we get a petition going for Stephenson or Lowry to replace Johnson on the Eastern conference?

Joe Johnson this year might be the most undeserving all star the coaches ever selected

Good for the hometown crowd to see the Unibrow as an all-star.. but Dragic would have been the correct choice.

It should of went to Dragic who's having a fantastic year and helping his team with the #7 playoff spot. Pelicans are not even a good team and so are the Kings. If Anthony Davis makes it, then DeMarcus should of been an All-Star as well.

Yeah theres an argument for Dragic. But I like Davis more because hes a hometown player.
But Cousins over Davis?? Yeah right
Davis scores more efficiently, turns the ball over less, and is incredibly better on the defensive end than Cousins.

Yea I know, which is why it's unfair for Dragic, Conley, Duncan, DeMarcus, David Lee, and even DeAndre.

Where did I say I would DeMarcus over Anthony? haha! I'm saying if Anthony Davis makes it, then DeMarcus should of make it as well no matter if the All-Star game is in New Orleans or not.

Dragic gets a $1M bonus if he makes the allstar game. Bummer indeed.

You realize you guys are all arguing over letting a guy in who in his second year is averaging 20/10 and 3 .. thats pretty beastly stats, especially when considering the efficiency he puts those numbers up on.

If the game was in Phoenix... it would be Dragic over Davis. That's what makes the Davis pick over Dragic frustrating. At least Dragic got that POTW nod (YIPPIE). Oh, and he gets to have to fly out to the ASG to take part in the event no one gives a flying **** about. And it's not even going to be a personal accolade this year, as the participants are paired up with another player. I'm sure Dragic is totally stoked on that.
