Knicks Trying To Pick Up Shumpert For Faried Trade Talks With Nuggets

The New York Knicks are attempting to resume trade talks with the Denver Nuggets on a deal centered on Iman Shumpert for Kenneth Faried.

The Knicks were actively looking to trade Shumpert earlier in the season with Faried as a potential target.

So Toronto trades their best defensive player for a SG that can't hit a jumpshot or make a layup to save his life. I don't even see why Denver would want Shumpert unless they're planning to move the Pepsi Center to Texas.

You forgot shumpert is injury prone and has already undergone multiple knee procedures during his short career.

As a Knick fan I'd have to agree with the responses so far. If you're a team looking to acquire Shumpert you're looking to buy low. He has really good upside but the Knicks are inept. They have gone out of their way to destroy his confidence and trade value. I am sure Shumpert will turn things around once he leaves this poisonous atmosphere but the Knicks are going to have to settle for pennies on the dollar and its their own damned fault.

I would say that any rumours of Shumpert for anyone of value at this point is probably fabricated by the NY media or the NY front office.

Shumpert is NOT worth Faried. Shumpert's value is at an all-time low at this point...and any perceived value at this point is amplified from the fact that he plays in NY.

Has had knee surgeries and is injury prone. Was drafted 17th overall. Never posted a PER above 12, poor shooter, no playmaking ability (best season was 2.8 assist per game???), and overrated on defense

I'm sorry, I just do not see any value here? IMO the Knicks are better off just hanging onto him and hoping he reaches this potential I keep hearing about. I doubt any team is going to give up much value for him, especially a guy like Faried

Yeah I really dont understand this one. Melo has played his best at PF, hes making 20 million. Amare isnt solid enough defensively to be a full time C, hes making 21 million. Bargnani is probably at his best as a Center but hes still gonna get PF minutes, he makes 10 million. Kenyon Martin and Jeremy Tyler have probably been our 2 best PF options when they are healthy and they can barely get on the court when we have a fully healthy roster. Metta also can play some PF.

Unless the trade is bigger then that I really dont get it.
