Bucks Interested In Eric Gordon

Post#1 » by RealGM Wiretap » Thu Feb 13, 2014 6:20 pm

The Milwaukee Bucks are interested in Eric Gordon, who the New Orleans Pelicans are making available in trade talks.

Gordon is in the second season of a $58 million, four-year contract.

Gordon was becoming one of the NBA's best shooting guards until he was slowed by a string of injuries.

I think bucks would want the pelicans or another team to take back mayo if they are acquiring gordon. But the bucks are dumb if they acquire gordon cause he will probably help them win games in a time where they are out of playoff contention and should be tanking for a franchise players. Bucks should be unloading veteran players not acquiring them.

They should just move to Seattle or better move to Chicago.

The same reason the Bucks want to pay EJ max money. THEY DON'T. You better believe the Bucks have to be getting some salary relief back at that price.

As a Sixers fan, this is like the best thing ever. Gordon makes the Bucks better and losing Gordon makes the Pelicans worse. I know Mayo has to be part of the package... wonder what else... Middleton and Udoh perhaps? I think the money should work on that. Anyway, I am highly in favor of this and would like this trade to happen right now

Eric GOrdon is only 25 EVERYONE. This **** talented as hell. Just in the wrong system. Bucks could be a place that could be a great fit for him. Brnadon Knight is a coming up star regardless what anyone says, hes talented as well. Knight and GOrdon could be a graet 1-2 punch

Eric Gordan isnt gonna save this season. they already have a young PG, young bigs, the Greek Freek and a high pick in a very strong draft at the end of this season. At some point you have to start winning games

No doubt the Bucks are interested in Gordon only if they can get rid of Mayo in the process. Both contracts are among the worst in the league.

Problem is that they're both 2's. Both undersized SG's. Hammonds is yet another GM that has no idea how to build a team.

I feel if the Bucks don't go to Seattle it'll be to Virginia Beach, they were super close to it with the Kings.

Its over the same amount of years as Gordons but its but Mayo makes a total of 16 million (next year and the year after) where Gordon makes 30.4. Its a more tradeable deal for a palyer that they can use comparably, plus they get a rotation worthy Center and a proven vet point guard to backup and play with Jrue.

Zaza/Davis/Stiemsma/Smith
Davis/Anderson
Aminu/Morrow/Babbit
Evans/Mayo/Rivers
Jrue/Ridnour/Roberts

I think they would prefer Butler but If the Pelicans could get Gordon for a productive expiring contract they would be very lucky...

Why is that bad? Seattle has great fans, Milwaukee does not. At all. Terrible attendance, terrible team, and their lease is up in 2017... they're as good as gone. Ownership is a joke there

And Seattle had great attendance before the Sonics left? Give me a break. Milwaukee has some of the best fans, but they are sick of ownership. You are correct in that it's a joke. But if they get new ownership and a new arena, things will be on the up and up. Don't throw those idiotic statements out saying Milwaukee doesn't have great fans.. Shame.
