Larry Sanders Out At Least Six Weeks

Post#1 » by RealGM Wiretap » Fri Feb 14, 2014 5:43 pm

Larry Sanders underwent successful surgery on Thursday to repair right orbital bone fractures which he sustained in the Feb. 8 game vs. Houston, General Manager John Hammond announced today.

The procedure was performed by Dr. Gerald J. Harris at the Eye Institute of the Medical College of Wisconsin and Froedtert Hospital. Sanders will be sidelined for a minimum of six week.

In 23 games (20 starts) this season, Sanders has averaged 7.7 points, 7.2 rebounds and 1.7 blocked shots in 25.4 minutes per contest.

Can it get any worse for the Bucks? At least their young talent gets to develop now.

6 weeks takes us to the start of April. What are the chances Sanders comes back for the last 2 weeks of the season? Any thoughts?

I think he's done for the season and they'll just shut him down. No reason to bring him back this season.

Isn't Larry Sanders technically part of that "young talent" though?

Might as well shut him down. He could very well be done in MIL especially if they draft Embiid.
