He traded an old KG and Pierce not in the prime of their careesr....
And Toronto is not better then Sac-Town....If anything Toronto is OVERACHIEVING.....
Rudy Gay is better then any player on the Raptors and so is Demarcus Cousins who also has far more potential then any player on the Raptors...Toronto has a bunch of above average players playing okay basketball together...No star no real scoring threat no real big man...Cousins takes a lot of heat but hes figuring things out and he is when he wants to be a force offensively and defensively...Rudy Gay is a great player but he needs a great motivator in a coach to get him going....He won at UCONN he won with USA Basketball
The Kings have pieces...The Raptors do not
You sound like you're butt hurt. Does it hurt to know that Sacramento hasn't made the playoffs in a long time? Or that they almost got relocated? If it does, please do not take it out on Toronto fans.
Toronto has an all-star in Derozan, when was the last time Rudy Gay made the all-star game? Or Demarcus Cousins? Toronto also had the unanimous vote for the biggest all-star snub this year, in Kyle Lowry. We also traded Rudy Gay to your team.
Danny Ainge has shown that he doens't care where he gets his assets from, as long as he gets them. They are rebuilding and the front office doesn't see the need to cater to division rivalries or conference.
If Boston gets better assets from Toronto or New york or the Nets, better for them.
And please stop talking about the Raptors not having pieces. We have upcoming sophomores who will be all-stars in a few years. Young and older pieces that play well together in a team setting. We are the 3rd seed in the east wether teams are tanking or not. So please, stop with the hateful butt hurt responses.
The Kings last made the playoffs in 2006, the Raptors in 2008. That's... not much different. Both teams are two of the worst in terms of how long their playoff drought currently is, ranking second and third, respectively.
Yes, Lowry was one of the players people were surprised about being snubbed, but so was Cousins. Demarcus Cousins is one of three players currently averaging 20/10, the others being Aldridge and Griffin.
Why does is matter that the Raptors traded Gay to the Kings? It looks like he simply wasn't a good fit in Toronto, but is in Sacramento.
Who exactly are you referring to when you say "sophomores who will be all-stars in a few years"? Ross? Valanciunas? I don't see Terrence Ross ever making an all-star, personally. He looks like he will become more of a 6th man as his career develops or a solid starter. I can see Valanciunas POTENTIALLY making one, but that's only a maybe. Don't say it like it's a definite thing, because it's far from that.
Both teams are in the middle. Yes, the Raptors are currently the 3rd seed, but it's in the East. The 5th seed is below .500. The 9th seed in the West is currently over .500. So it's safe to say teams from the West have a little tougher of a schedule. Also, when your Raptors make the playoffs, do you really expect them to do anything? I could easily see them being knocked out of the first round by the Nets, Wizards, or Hawks. Both teams are more than one piece away from being contenders. This is all coming from an unbiased NBA fan.
