76ers must really be high on Nerlens Noel. I hear he is doing great right now.

Will they flip him to someone else right away? They now have 2 veterans with expiring contracts this summer - what is the new front-office cooking up here...?

Sixers could have probably gotten another pick or something.

He won't resign with the cavs , why bother trading? They won't even make the playoffs.

What Big men do the 76ers have left. Wondering for fantasy purposes? Pick up Moultrie?
On Gerald Henderson vs Derozan:
"Yes. Hendo is quite a bit better than DeMar.
So yes, I do believe he's currently the better player and do project that will continue to be in the future. I would also take Turner over DD."

Tristan Thompson needs to be included and let Bennett play PF full time.

He should be getting a lot more minutes. Last year Moultrie performed pretty well in the limited time that he played.

Why would you trade a double double machine? He is still young. Tristan and Bennett have been playing very well lately so why screw it up?

2 2nd rounders in 2014 for an expiring? Looks like the interm GM is just as bad as Grant.

Hawes fits with the type of team they want to be...Centers in this league right now are weak but it seems like each one has a particular skill set they are really great with.......The Cavs throw this guy a ton of cash he will resign

This just in... Throwing Spencer Hawes "a ton of cash" is the formula for creating a contending basketball team. I hope to God, for the sake of the city of Cleveland, that the front office doesn't subscribe to this way of thinking.

I doubt they need to throw "a ton" of cash to resign him. But he isn't a long term Centre option for Cleveland. So why trade for him?

Why isn't he a long term center option? He's an elite rebounder, a very good three point shooter and he's young. He can anchor the C spot for an NBA team for the next 5+ years.

From the look of things he didn't want to be in Philly anymore. LOL, so have fun in Cleveland.

There are various reports out there saying he's shut down for the season, he will play limited minutes in a few meaningless games near the end of the season or they will assign him to the d-league for a conditioning stint. Let's just assume if the sixers think he will be healthy enough to carry the team to wins, they will just make more excuses to keep him off the court.

Saying that Spencer Hawes "won't" sign with the Cavs in the offseason is just plain old STUPID. Aside from the fact that it's literally IMPOSSIBLE to know such a thing, you also have to ignore the numerous reasons (several of which have already been listed in previous comments) why Cleveland would be an ideal organization for him to sign with. And it probably won't take that much money to sign the guy either. I doubt he cracks $10 million/year. Probably closer to 8 or 9.

Strange trade for CLE, but good for PHI.
