it's just a 10 day contract. if the heat want granger and he wants the heat he can wait a few days to sign. he hasn't been bought out yet and needs to be waived by march 1st to get on a playoff roster.

Sherman Douglas? He's still on the Heat? Oh Toney. The player has to agree to be bought out. He has no incentive to agree since he is a free agent this summer anyway. They could simply waive him.
Harden is still a work-in-progress. He can score, but he can't help his teammate that much - Yao Ming

I thought I read that players have to be on the roster by Saturday to be playoff eligible?

The Thunder waived Liggins last summer in large part because of a domestic violence arrest that was initially classified as a felony and recently reduced to a misdemeanor. The contrast in philosophies regarding player character between OKC and Miami are very interesting.

Liggins himself could stick in Miami and as strange as it might sound be a better fit for Miami. Liggins is a strong 6'-6", gave really good defensive energy with the Thunder and showed an ability to hit the corner three. In addition Liggins has ball handling and passing skills that most 3 & D players don't possess.

With a 6"11 wingspan :P , a true role player comfortable in doing whatever is needed for the team. Caught up in a domestic issue he is getting a second chance and the Heat might get a good contributor.
1. Herro 2. Bol Bol 3. Seko 4. Bruno
unless we trade up for Barrett or trade down for PJ Washington

How do make a determination of when people should get second chances and when they should not?
