Ben Gordon, Bobcats Continue Buyout Talks; Bulls, Clippers, Rockets Interested

Post#1 » by RealGM Wiretap » Thu Feb 27, 2014 10:40 pm

Ben Gordon and the Charlotte Bobcats continue dialogue on a buyout.

The Chicago Bulls, Los Angeles Clippers and Houston Rockets are pitching two-year deals with a team option for 14-15. Gordon would prefer a deal that does not impact his free agency.

For a guy who haven't been sh*t these last few years, he shouldn't be picky.

This is so stupid. The bobcats are a playoff team .. they shouldn't be doing buyouts with players that will sign with another team. If he signs with the bulls and lights up the bobcats in the playoffs it will look really bad on them.
"We're like Tim Duncan and David Robinson," Villanueva said, following the team's morning shootaround at the America West Arena. "But a younger version. I really feel that."

Gordon is an end of the bench guy at this point in his career. Hes the worst defender in the NBA, and can't dribble without turning it over. He can literally only catch and shoot. But he is such a huge liability on the other end of the floor that its not worth giving him any minutes. The Bobcats got Gary Neal and he's more than enough to make up for anything Gordon has to offer to an NBA team. Sad really, how far his career has fallen

Soon enough they will claim Michael Jordan off waivers...I hear he wants to give another come-back a shot.

He had his best years in Chicago so I think he might go there to look good and get a long term contract next season (something 2 years+), if he wants to chase a ring he'll go to the Rockets or Clippers.

With JJ down and Crawford possibly missing some time with that mild sprain this might be a nice 2nd half of the season pickup.
