Dwight Howard underwent an MRI on his injured left ankle on Tuesday.
The exam confirmed a strained left ankle and Howard will be day-to-day.
Howard missed his first game of the season in the Houston Rockets' blowout win over the Utah Jazz on Monday. He is averaging 18.6 points, 12.4 rebounds and 1.8 blocks per game.
