Silver, Buss Discuss Jackson's Setup With Knicks

Post#1 » by RealGM Wiretap » Wed Mar 19, 2014 12:16 pm

Adam Silver and Jeanie Buss sat down on Monday to discuss Phil Jackson's setup as president of the New York Knicks.

Because Buss is not in charge of personnel moves for the Los Angeles Lakers, there is not expected to be any conflict of interest.

When asked about Jackson possibly joining the Lakers instead of the Knicks, Buss said, "He was not offered an official position. There is no role in the front office for him. ... He's too good of a basketball mind to be sitting home in a rocking chair playing solitaire."

What if he was playing solitaire against MJ? Retirement may be more fun that way :)

Silver has proposed that a listening device should be placed in their bedroom, monitored by the NSA, so that no Knicks-Lakers pillow talk take place and no deals are conceived. Silver initially wanted a video monitoring device, but that video would be property of the NBA and would probably be licensed and sold.
