Post#1 » by RealGM Wiretap » Sun Mar 23, 2014 5:59 pm

The Iowa Energy have signed Josh Boone.

Boone was the 23rd overall pick by the Nets in 2006.

The former Connecticut Husky averaged 5.2 points and 4.9 rebounds in his four years with the Nets.

Boone spent part of last season with Iowa.

Don't know much about the injury situation but Boonie - despite some limitations - is a legit NBA bench player imho.
Les Selvage pioneered today's "modern basketball" in 1967.

last game he played was in the Philippine Basketball Association where he posted 30+ points and 20+ rebounds. he won't wow you with power or fancy moves but he'll give you energy and moves well without the ball. Varejao type of game.

I think the main reason he didn't stick to an NBA roster was because this guy couldn't hit a damn free throw to save his life. His last season had him shooting less than 33% of his free throws. Not a good sign to have out of him although hopefully he can do well down the road.
