LeBron Signaling He Wants More Help With Wade Out 25 Percent Of Season

Post#1 » by RealGM Wiretap » Tue Mar 25, 2014 3:07 pm

LeBron James has averaged 39 points over his six most recent games without Dwyane Wade.

The Miami Heat have been strategically resting Wade this season to make sure he's as healthy as possible for the playoffs, and he's sat out 19 games to date.

The burden has fallen on James to do more in the regular season and he's "put out signals all year he wants more help," writes Dave Hyde of the Sun Sentinel. James has brought up how much the Heat miss Mike Miller, who was amnestied.

James realizes that the Heat more importantly need Wade for the playoffs, but being required to carry the team so heavily during the regular season is clearly wearing on him.

James made a point of saying "I'm active" twice during his pre-game talk before Monday's game.

Look at how the Spurs won/compete with scrubs while resting their star players. It shows the problem has to do with coaching.

If LeBron's tired of only being without D-Wade for a few games here and there with more talent around him, then imagine Durant when he was without Westbrook.

It never really said that LeBron was complaining about anything though here.

Yeah that's what he's saying. His teammates need to step up but he honestly can't be pointing the finger at them because he's part of the problem as well. As the leader of this team he's supposed to be aggressive but ever since his 61 point game, he hasn't been aggressive at all until last night.

No, you're wrong, the only reason why spurs are good with popovich and stuff, is because their roleplayers are better than miamis', and theyre built with a team system not a single person or 2. Miami is solely built around Lbj, not the big 3, LBJ, if you guys think it is built around those 3, then lebron wouldn't be showing this much trouble or "signals" when Dwade is out. The only reason LeBron seems to be having trouble without Dwade is because that's what he came to miami for, to play with another or better scorer than he is. Chris Bosh is good, but he was only the icing on the cake when he came to miami, without LeBron or Dwade, that team is a joke, even though they may seem like a stacked team. They took out miller, which imo was the dumbest thing riley could have done, he was one of the big reasons why LeBron could drive and dish so many times to an open miller, and no offence to ray, but miller was probably a better 3 pt shooter than he was in the finals, excluding game 6 vs spurs. Spoelstra doesn't even run much plays, he basically just lets everything run through lebron, he doesnt have a real system like popovich, there comes experience.

The big 3 will need to take a big paycut to get him more help. He knows this.

This is exactly what kenwood3333 was saying. its about coaching! All Spoelstra does is manage player minutes and call timeouts when need be. When LeBron is on, LeBron is the player-coach. when he's off the court, its D-Wade. MAYBE when both are out, Spoelstra actually gets off the pine and coaches but thats only until his next timeout when he inserts one of his superstars. I'm sure most coaches have wet dreams about the potential this roster has
And how much more help does the "best player in basketball" need??? Without Wade, they are still a favorite to go to the Finals. Without LeBron(when Wade plays obviously) they are still a favorite to AT LEAST go to the East Finals...

Those guys would be starters on other teams. Depth not scrubs.

Al Jefferson, Michael Kidd-Gilchrist, Kemba Walker, and lots of role players seems like "more help" to me.

Spolestra actually has Miami moving the ball, they have a good system. If you want to see a system run completely through LBJ look at the work Mike Brown did in Cleveland

To your point, Ray Allen, Shane Battier, Michael Beasley, and Norris Cole will start for alot of teams in the league Oden as well depending on his health, and Anderson will receive alot of minutes because of his energy and defense

I remember an article 2-3 months ago quoting LeBron on how "if I could take as many shots as Durant I'd put up stats like he is too".

I guess 39 ppg is doing that, but don't complain. (Not that this article had any quotes of him actually complaining)

Lets face it, Dwyane Wade is now a part-time player. He has the most mysterious knee injury in the history of sports. This whole "some days it feels good, some days it doesn't" thing doesn't work for me. He'll miss a game, then play the next day and be dunking, rebounding, and running like a perfectly healthy player. And the commentators will be like "if Wade plays like this, the Heat are tough to beat" or "the old Wade is back" or some nonsense similar to that. None of it makes sense.

wade isn't missing time because he is injured one day and healthy the next. he is missing time because it is part of his rehab program for strengthening the knee. the time table is to have him healthy for the playoffs. that is what it has been about all year.
