Jerryd Bayless Prioritizes Re-Signing With Celtics

Post#1 » by RealGM Wiretap » Wed Mar 26, 2014 6:55 pm

Jerryd Bayless has enjoyed his time with the Boston Celtics, who acquired him in a trade from the Memphis Grizzlies before the trade deadline.

Bayless will be a free agent at season's end but is prioritizing a return to the Celtics.

"I would be happy about that," Bayless said. "That would be great. One of the things I said when I got here is I want to find a home somewhere. I’d be very happy staying here."

Bayless left a possible playoff team to join the Celtics.

"I don’t think it’s hard. It’s frustrating, but I don’t think it’s hard," Bayless said of the Celtics' losing. "The coaching staff and organization do a great job of keeping us focused."

I like this dude but he's probably going to be trade bait in the Summer. We'll see what happens.

Not sure how he is still in the NBA.
How many teams has he played for? 6? 7?

I hope he stays. He hustles and plays hard. I also liked J Craw and would not mind seeing him back on a cheap contract instead. Seems like he thrived as a Celtic and he was fun to watch.

Hope he sticks around. Won't pay him much more than vet minimum but I like his game.

He's going to be an UFA this summer.
